SUMMARY:Bison Gulch: Seed collecting and Botany Excusion
DESCRIPTION:Join us on this years seed collecting and botany trip to Bison 
 Gulch in the Alaska Range\, just outside Denali National Park. We will be 
 exploring around the Bison Gulch trail as it climbs from boreal forest thr
 ough subalpine shrubs into open alpine tundra. This area provides excellen
 t access to a variety of alpine plants for collecting mature seeds and Mid
 -August provides ideal conditions for collecting mature seeds. We also hop
 e to do a botanizing trip into the park via the green transit bus.\nThe Pl
 an\nWhere to stay:There are many places stay close to Denali National Park
  Here are a couple of suggestions but you are free to stay wherever meets 
 your needs.\nRiley Creek Campground. Some of us are staying here just insi
 de the park. Reservations are highly recommended.\nDenali RV Park and Mote
 l. People have stayed here in the past. The advantage here is that you are
  right next to the trailhead where we are collecting seeds.\nWhat to bring
  for the hikes:\nSmall backpackHiking boots or shoesBear sprayRain/Wind ja
 cket and an extra layer for warmthPlant identification guidebooks if you h
