DESCRIPTION:Join us for a trip to the Hope Rock Quarry and go rock shopping
 .The rock type is slate and great for making crevice gardens. They also se
 ll larger pieces of decorative stone to Anchorage Sand and Gravel. It is k
 nown as Hope Stone.\nWhere:We'll be meeting at the Midtown Mall Parking lo
 t\,Northern Lights side and be carpooling/caravanning to the quarry.\nWhat
  to bring:Truck or Trailer if you want lots of rocks.They have a bobcat on
  site to help you load larger rocks.\nBuckets for a small amount of rock/t
 opdressing for your troughs or a small rock garden.\nIts about a two hour 
 drive to get to the quarry from Anchorage\, so we'll probably not get back
